Living a Purpose-Driven Life with the law of attraction

After years of living a life that made us unfulfilled and unhappy and a lifestyle that did not allow us to pursue our passions and interests, my husband John and I decided to take a life-changing journey leading to a purpose-driven life.

We started by taking sailing lessons, an activity that we both immensely enjoy. Sailing just enlivened our spirits and made us young again. o add to our knowledge of sailing, we read books and stories about people who share our passion. One such story, Maiden Voyage, was about Tania Aebi, who at eighteen, was the youngest person and the first American woman to sail around the globe.

We talked about it, we discussed and thought about the options. We can initially crew other people’s boats to gain valuable experience while traveling at the same time. We will share the responsibilities of cleaning, cooking, navigating and helming the boat. We decided to apply with someone who had a forty-six-foot sailboat and joined it on the second leg of its journey which sailed from Fiji to Singapore for six months passing through Indonesia, Australia and Vanuatu.

We decided to take a leave of absence from our employment for one year and rented out our house and left Seattle on June 1, 1998. Before meeting our boat, we decided to first take a road trip for three weeks to different states traveling east on I-90 through the Cascade Mountains.

As we were going farther and farther away from civilization, I felt liberated and grateful for making this decision of pursuing a life which was so different from the life we lived for so many years.
Are you living a purpose-driven life? We need time to reflect on who we are and what our purpose in life really is. Express yourself. If you love the outdoors, then go ahead and pursue outdoor activities that you enjoy.

Here are some tips to get you started with your passion:

• Write down what you want to do .

• Make a list of what you love to do.

• Make a list of twenty-five things you want to do before you die. Be specific. For example, travelling is not as clear as when you say climb Mt. Everest

• Write about your favorite childhood passions. Which ones do you still love to do?

• Meditate on what makes you happy.
When we follow our passions and express what’s in our heart then we project a giving and passionate heart that allow others to reciprocate the same feelings. It creates a ripple effect that is profound and far-reaching.

Depression and Loss of Memory

Depression and memory loss are two different interesting topics but they are somehow related with each other.
Experts are still searching for the connection between memory loss and depression in the hope of seeking for the treatment for the sickness.

Depression affects memory by reducing the number of things that the brain can remember. Dr Norman Rosenthal explains that we tend to remember happy events and when we are sad, we tend to remember the exact time we are sad.

The first thing to do in treating depression is to acknowledge the fact that the disease is real. Accept with all your heart and mind that the disease is affecting you and that you need serious treatment.

Otherwise, there is no hope in treating that disease if you keep on denying that you have the illness. Don’t worry, just accept it and it surely can be treated.

Improve Short Term Memory with the law of attraction

Repetition is the best time-tested way to enhance memory like memorizing the alphabet and the multiplication table or trying to ride a bike. Once the activity has been processed in your brain it eventually becomes a subconscious exercise that you are able to do it automatically on that level just like an auto-pilot.

Using Mnemonics will also help your memory like remembering the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, it can be easier for some people to remember the mnemonics “Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain” or “Roy G. Biv”.

As we grow older our brain cells become weak and can remember less. But this should not stop you from engaging from the activities that involve the mind like doing some puzzles, scrabble or playing chess.

Here are some tips to improve your memory.

Attention

Simply paying attention will enhance your memory. Paying attention is listening to someone who’s talking, understanding what we are reading and watching and internalizing what we hear around us.
Staying focused on the task at hand will also help you retain your memory, too. There shouldn’t be distractions when you are trying to concentrate on something.

For example, if you are studying for an examination or writing a paper or simply want to focus on an important activity you need to turn off the TV or radio so will be able to concentrate.

Device A Plan:

Plan your activities for the day and write them down so you don’t forget every detail. If there are so many activities under one major task then you need to jot them down in a diary with their corresponding time so you don’t forget.

Use Your Imagination
You will be able to easily recall things and events if you attach a meaning or emotion with them. You need to identify them with an important occasion of emotional attachment. One example is when you meet a person or seen an object for the first time, you will remember the person if you took special attention of their hair, the clothes they were wearing, the way they talked, their actions and their mannerisms.

Develop A Habit:

Develop the habit of remembering things or events with the aid of tangible objects that will server as reminders for you. For example you went to a place for the first time and you want to remember how to go there then you should create a mental picture of the place—are there trees around the area?

Are there building, is there a school of a church near it? Develop the habit of remembering with the aid of things that are already available.

Your Subconscious Mind Power – Law of attraction

The source of our emotions and the repository of our memory is our subconscious mind. Our conscious mind serves as the central command center to which the subconscious mind submits to.

Your mind and body will be functioning well if your conscious and subconscious minds are in harmony. You will be more creative, inspired and productive if your system is working efficiently.

The response of the subconscious mind will depend on the thoughts and feelings that you have been nurturing. If the subconscious mind recognizes happiness, prosperity, wealth and success in the conscious mind then it produces the same results. If it detects failure, discouragement, frustration and sadness then it will give back to you the same results.

Your own concept of yourself will reflect the results of your actions. I you project a positive attitude then the universe will return that to you in more and better ways. If you project an unpleasant attitude then that is what the universe will give back to you as well. The popular verse in the Bible: You reap what you sow is very much applicable here.

Develop the conscious effort to choose your thoughts carefully because whatever kind of thought you put in your mind is stored in your subconscious. Quantum physics is about the building blocks of our universe where each particle is concentrated energy.

Manifestation is the process of creating your own being and your identity using the power of your conscious and subconscious mind.
Therefore what you are is what you think. Your thoughts and actions will determine the kind of outcomes for your actions.

Your emotions are also affected by your physical condition. What you feel with your physical body is reflected in your emotions. So if you are sick, your emotions will show that you are not active, you are weak and if you are physically well, you are happy and active.

Entertaining positive thoughts will help you tap hour subconscious mind more effectively. Once you have made positive thinking part of your being then everything positive will follow accordingly.

Once you have taken control of your thoughts and your feelings, then you will be able to maintain it and make it your way of life.

Do it with conviction and firm resolve to only entertain the positive and minimize if not completely remove all negative thoughts from your conscious and subconscious mind.

in: Attitude

Being equipped with free mentalism tricks that will help you succeed in various endeavors and overcome obstacles is very important. These beliefs have scientific basis and not based on supernatural power.
Here are a few mentalism tricks to guide you through you daily life.

1. Stalling Tactic

People who keep secrets try to employ various tactics to avoid a conversation. They will either avoid the topic or they will just leave and avoid you completely. Should this thing happens your mind will want to know the truth. Knowing to spot an odd behavior is actually a mentalism trick.

2. I Know What You Did

You can apply this tactic when you know something happened but but don’t have the proof or evidence to back your accusations. In this situation you can pretend that you know what’s going on. You can cite general scenarios and try to sound like you really know the real score. Later the person gives up and make a confession.

3. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Saying words all over again is very powerful.

You don’t have to say the words again and again, you can rephrase them to give a reputation of being a good communicator.

Mentalism tricks are not about reading a person’s mind or predicting a person’s actions. What’s important is that you believe in your own capacity and allowing your mind to think and do what it wants to believe
