No matter what your life’s circumstances are, you can definitely lead a happier and more fulfilling life. You can choose to be a person who make things happen and not just one of those who watch things happen.
- Be Aware. Be consciously aware of the unpleasant thoughts, feelings and behavior that you want to change.
Being aware means being conscious of your thoughts, feelings, actions and behavior. Acknowledging that a change is necessary is first step in achieving you goal.
- Make a Choice. Carefully choose your thoughts, feelings, actions and behavior.
Making a choice is deciding on what you want and what you don’t want. It is the act of making choices, selection and options. It’s about choosing between 2 scenarios laid out to you. You should make a choice. You have to take sides and take a stand otherwise you’ll be like a drift wood floating on the ocean without any direction.
- Change. Change the way you think about people, objects and events.
When you have reached a point where you suddenly realize that you have been very critical, mean, judgmental and moralistic about so many issues then it’s time to do a self assessment and decide what aspect of your life need to be changed. Do it right now. You might be continuously hurting people if you don’t stop.
The moment you notice that you are being obnoxious to people around you then:
- Take control of your feelings.
- Analyze the reason for your low self-esteem and nasty attitude.
- Entertain thoughts that reinforce positive behavior, thoughts, feelings and emotions and positive thoughts that boost your self-esteem.
Attempting to make a life-changing decision to adapt a healthy and positive lifestyle is sending a message to your brain that you are in perfect control of your life and that you mean serious business when you say you want to change for the better.
